On March 28, 2024, the Civic Leadership team hosted a Women’s Leadership Event at City Hall at the Tom Bradley Center. The department highlighted the exemplary work that women in the Neighborhood Council are doing in their communities. Mayor Keren Bass, Interim General Manager Vanessa Serrano, and Council member Heather Hutt showcased the work they do for Neighborhood Councils.
Watts Neighborhood Council President Cartashia Perkins was honored for her outstanding leadership and service to the Watts Neighborhood Council.
