The Watts Rising Collaborative is actively recruiting 6 individuals for The Watts Rising Community Advisory Group. This group is a key part of the Watts Rising Collaborative, a community-driven initiative focused on improving public health, environmental quality, economic opportunity, and overall quality of life in the Watts community.
The Community Advisory Group is a resident-inclusive advisory council made up of Watts residents, business owners, community leaders, and other local stakeholders. Its purpose is to provide oversight, guidance, and community perspective about how Watts Rising projects and plans are implemented.
The CAG’s main duties are to:
- Advise and guide project partners in the Watts Rising Collaborative so that local residents’ voices help shape decisions and priorities.
- Help coordinate communication and engagement between project implementers and the community.
- Participate in monthly public meetings that are open to the community to share updates, gather feedback, and influence how investments and programs are rolled out.
Furthermore, the Community Advisory Group serves as a bridge between residents and the many organizations involved in the initiative, ensuring that community priorities and concerns remain central to the work.
